Eigergletscher - Alpiglen

Moderate* hike along the Eiger Trail.
The Eiger's north face has earned it a place among the most celebrated and documented mountains on Earth, but it's also become notorious for its dangers.

The Eiger Trail hike offers regular folks like us unparalleled access to the legendary Eiger North Face. You don't need to be a seasoned climber to get up close and personal with this iconic mountain. The trail itself will put you right in the heart of the drama and history, allowing you to truly feel the spirit of the place.

To deepen the experience, I recommend watching the movie
"The North Face" before you go hiking www.imdb.com/title/tt0844457 It'll give you a great understanding of what makes this peak so special and challenging.

What you should know*

The Eiger Trail is considered moderate due to the descent of 700 meters, sections with loose gravel underfoot
and a short section with a rope handrail to provide support on the descent but it should be still suitable for beginners
and families with kids.

There is a Jungfrau Railway train at Kleine Scheidegg that can take you to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe – in just 35 minutes,.
This route is 9 km long, of which seven kilometres are in a tunnel through the Eiger and Mönch mountains - it would be an experience
that would stay with you always.
