The Aiguillette des Posettes is a mountain peak in the Aiguilles Rouges Massif, located near the Mont Blanc Massif and close to the Swiss border. It is a popular destination for hikers because it offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Once you reach the summit of the Aiguillette des Posettes, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys (Trient valley, the Aiguilles Rouges, Mont Blanc, The Dents du Midi )

Description
Vallorcine- Aiguillettes des Possettes- Vallorcine
1. Your hiking begins Télécabine Vallorcine.
2. Take the gondola lift up to the Le Plan à I`Ega (upper station)
Here starts your walking. Go uphill to Cole de Posettes.
3. Cole de Posettes: here you turn right on the path to Aiguillette des Posettes ca 35 min
4. You reached the summit of Aiguillette des Posettes- there you will feast your eyes
on the amazing scenery that surrounds you.
Walking back:
5. Take the same path downhill to the Vallorcine gondola lift upper station.
Here, you can choose whether to continue hiking on foot or take the gondola lift down to Vallorcine.
Going downhill to Vallorcine takes ca: 2 h
Variants:
At the Col de Posettes, if you still have energy for more hiking, you could turn right towards
Refuge Col de Balme https://en.refugeducoldebalme.com ca 40 min, where you can take a rest,
sitting on the Swiss border. You can also buy something to eat and drink here- credit cards may not be accepted.

What you should know
Moderate* This trail's distance makes it a moderate hike (you can make it shorter by taking the gondola lift
back to Vallorcine)
The hike is not demanding, even though the path from the Col de Posettes is steeply uphill.
Don`t forget to check the open hours of the Vallorcine gondola lift.
